New Home Electrical Installations

Building a new house? Electrical work is often an integral part of the process. Here are some services we offer:

  • Collaborate with the home builder, architects, and other stakeholders to design the electrical system for the new home. This includes planning the placement of outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and the overall wiring layout.

  • Install the electrical wiring throughout the new home. This involves running wires in walls, ceilings, and floors to connect outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and major appliances.

  • Install the main electrical panel and subpanels to distribute power throughout the home. Ensure that the panel is sized appropriately for the electrical load and that it complies with electrical codes

  • Install electrical outlets, switches, and receptacles based on the design and specifications. This includes both standard outlets and specialized ones, such as GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlets in kitchens and bathrooms.

  • Install a variety of lighting fixtures, including recessed lights, pendant lights, chandeliers, and outdoor lighting. Ensure proper wiring connections and coordination with the overall lighting design.

  • Wire and install electrical connections for new or relocated appliances, such as stoves, ovens, refrigerators, and HVAC systems.

  • Install wiring to support smart home technologies, such as smart lighting controls, programmable thermostats, and home automation systems.

  • Install structured cabling for data and communication needs, including Ethernet wiring for internet connectivity, telephone wiring, and cable TV wiring. This involves running cables to various rooms and connecting them to a central distribution point.

  • Install wiring for security systems, including door/window sensors, motion detectors, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems. Ensure proper integration with the home automation or security system.

  • Install and wire smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors in compliance with safety regulations. Ensure proper placement for effective detection.

  • Install outdoor electrical outlets, lighting, and other features, such as landscape lighting, to enhance the functionality and safety of outdoor spaces.

  • Install a backup generator and ensure proper wiring for seamless integration. This provides a reliable power source during electrical outages.

  • Coordinate with municipal inspectors to ensure that all electrical work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and other relevant regulations. Obtain necessary permits for the electrical installations.

  • Provide comprehensive documentation, including as-built drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications, to the homeowner and other stakeholders for future reference and maintenance.

  • Conduct a final inspection to ensure that all electrical work meets safety and quality standards. Provide the necessary certification and documentation to confirm compliance.
